Alarm Operator at the Swedish Armed Forces Alarm Center (FMLC)

The Swedish Armed Forces Alarm Center (FMLC) conducts alarm monitoring for the Armed Forces' specially prioritized objects and equipment.

Main Responsibilities

The position as an alarm operator at FMLC involves monitoring alarmed objects. You will receive and relay incoming alarms according to established procedures and collaborate with relevant parties during alarms and interventions. The position also includes administration of entry/exit at monitored objects and other tasks at the alarm center. The role of the alarm operator requires round-the-clock service.

About the Organization

FMTIS Operations Unit (DriftE) conducts technical surveillance, operational monitoring, as well as maintenance and remote troubleshooting within the Armed Forces' (FM) strategic network. DriftE allocates and prioritizes tasks to FMTIS Implementation Units (GE) concerning operational, expansion, and maintenance tasks on command support systems.

Qualifications

  • 3-year high school education, or equivalent competence or experience deemed equivalent by the employer
  • Good computer skills
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
  • Driving license B (manual)

Desirable Qualifications

  • Completed military service and/or GMU
  • Previous service in any of the FM operational units
  • Previous experience in a similar position within the Armed Forces
  • Experience in shift work (day and night)
  • Previous experience in security or surveillance services
  • Previous experience in customer contact roles
  • Previous experience in administrative work

Position Level: Civil employment

Work Location: Håbo

The position involves shift work (two shifts) distributed over day and night shifts throughout the year.

The position may involve service at another location (business trip) to a lesser extent, e.g., unit-wide training days, etc.

Permanent employment (a six-month probationary period applies for those who are currently not employed by the Armed Forces).

Start date according to agreement.
